Tom Tebby – Chop – Private View, Drinks Reception, Opening Party.

Hi All,

Been a bit quite on the blog front of late. Sorry if you missed me!

Well what do I have to say that has driven me from my silent bunker? Plimsoul exhibiting in our wonderful exhibition space that is what!

For those of you that are yet to experience Plimsoul’s AKA Tom Tebby’s work you are in for a bit of a treat.

In fact even if you don’t know the name you will probably have seen Toms work around Birmingham in the form of ‘paste ups’ over the past few years.

“Inspired by Inspired by inner-city sprawl, discarded objects, architectural foliage and influenced by Avant Garde posters and decollage, Tebby’s work is a distorted reflection of his surroundings. Many of his artworks are returned to the industrial landscapes and displayed within, allowing the overgrown fragments to return to their origin.”

We Are Birmingham have had a long standing relationship with Tom, who has been a massive support from the off, he even built our stage! So we thought we would return the favour in the form of letting him take over down stairs for a couple of weeks.

Chop, the exhibition,  brings together new works and a selection of more familiar pieces reworked. It will no doubt be inspiring to say the least.

There will be drinks reception this Saturday, 19th February, from 6.30pm onwards and we would love to see you all there. If you cant make it on Saturday the exhibition will run for two weeks. For opening hours please check out the home page.
