It’s our intention to run a healthy program of music events in the shop, from relaxing acoustic sets on the shop floor to more raucous occasions in the gallery, as a way of both bringing people to the shop and, more importantly, doing something for the musicians of the city beyond sell their CDs.
At the CiB Shop we had a nice run of gigs organised by Sounds Friendly so it made sense to get them to kick things off while we’re a little preoccupied with Christmas (did I mention Christmas gifts? I did? Sorry.) The first one is on Friday December 3rd.
KTB (aka Katy Bennett, one-quarter of Little Sister) will be playing a set from 6-7 at the back of the shop and it promises to be quite delightful. More info in this post.
Sounds Friendly will be programming gigs on the first Friday of the month and we have plenty of other promoters and individuals lined up – an events diary page will be going on the site soon and we’ll be listed on LiveBrum and elsewhere. If you’d like to play in the shop contact Aaron.
